Thanks for posting! Are the I2C pins are the same as GPIO 1 and GPIO 2 in your GPIO example?
What are R3 and R4 for? Are they protection resistors that limit the current in case something goes wrong?

Yes, it is.
R3 and R4 are recomended by I2C standard.

Just a small bump. Do you guys have any idea why only some of the GPIO's are working, even if they are set to GPIO using mmio?

Some of them are defines as special functions, and probably used by some drivers.
