Alternate boot mode / Booting from "internal ROM"

Hi!
It would be very handy to have an alternate boot mode in case the flash accidentally gets messed up. I have worked with micro-controllers that would allow recovery from i.e. USB-OTG. Maybe the RT3050F has a similar feature? As per "Boot strapping Signal description" of the RT3050/3052 data sheet, the part supports booting from 8 or 16 bit NOR flash, 8 bit NAND flash and from "internal ROM". The later one is also referred to as "ROM iNIC mode" in the data sheet. Does there exist any documentation what the internal ROM does?
