Hello everybody,
I was thinking about attach a serial LCD with some push buttons to my Carambola project for doing simple configuration task. But for less than a half you got a touch lcd screen, even one Spi enabled.
Obviously is very different drive an i2c character lcd than a Spi graphical one.
I surfed looking for options and found the great work of Sprites Mod (
http://spritesmods.com/?art=spitft) for “Connecting an LCD to a non-video-capable Linux” but seems that He reconfigure the kernel to use the LCD through the standard graphical frame buffer, allowing work whit the X system.
But if you want only a push button with a text box, maybe for enable and disable the wifi with a different SSID, there is not a lot of overhead for our little system?.
Somebody knows a library for paint some simple objects (textbox, label, push button, slider …) in a connected LCD that I can portate? (Don´t forget the touch screen, event driver if possible, je,je ,je)
Any suggestions would be welcome,
Jose.
