Hello, we are trying to figure out how to use both ethernet ports as actual switch.

we have tried:
brctl addbr br0
brctl addif br0 eth0.1
brctl addif br0 eth0.2

which should actually work IMO, but we cant seem to communicate from eth0 to eth1

both ports and the bridge itself work well, we can set an ip to the bridge and ping it from both ports.
only package forwarding doesn't seem to work.

is there something we have missed?
Please help
