Right, so through lots of trial and error I have manged to get TFTP working (make sure "TFTP Server" is the only thing ticked in the Global tab), and can get code onto my board's memory. The problem is when booting some of the binaries in the repo I get magic number errors and when I boot others it gets to the point of loading the kernel, but then hangs at one point or another... why is this? None of the *.bin files here (
http://pkg.8devices.com/index.php?dir=v2.5/carambola2/) work.
I have a though that it may be because memory is wrapping around onto its self (based on the output below), and this is probably due to the 0x83000000 offset. What is the correct/working offset for chucking images into the memory?
[ 2.950000] jffs2: jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x00000000: 0x76b8 id
[ 2.960000] jffs2: jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x00000004: 0x407f id
[ 2.970000] jffs2: jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x00000008: 0x6978 id
Btw I'm using this as a guide
