Kernel Panic after audio stops

I have managed to get perk running and also used madplay with a USB sound card and I was wondering if anyone knew why after the audio stream or the audio file is paused or stopped it crashes? I'm thinking it could be something to do with memory deallocation but I'm not too sure.
