Hallo. ich schreibe hier mal in Deutsch, weil mein Englisch recht schlecht ist :-(

Ich möchte ein USB Stick einbinden, das klappt soweit, nur ich finde kein fdisk im Betriebssystem oder z.b mkfs.vfat zum Formatieren, die Tools fehlen und ich kann sie auch nicht nach installieren, ich habe die neuste Software mit auf der Carambola.

Der Stick wird erkannt und ich kann ihn auch mounten, nur kann ich ihn formatieren.

Vielleicht kann mir hier einr Helfen

Hallo Michael

auch mein Englisch ist schlecht und so freu ich mich das es trotzdem jemand wagt hier zu schreiben

wenn du fdisk brauchst und es nicht über pkg.8devices.com nachinstallieren kannst mußt du wohl die Quellen selbst übersetzen

und dann installieren

ist sehr gut im Wiki beschrieben

also die
- quellen auf einem Linuxsystem installieren
- make menuconfig
- dort die programme auswählen die du benötigts
- und dann installieren

Danke für Deine schnelle Antwort, das es so kompliziert ist dache ich nicht, da muss ich mir zuerst ein Linuxsystem installieren.

Ich bin ein absoluter neuling auf dem Gebiet.


Vieleicht trauten sich mal mehr Leute in Deutsch zu schreiben.

Hi!

Ich empfehle ein "normals" Linux (Fedora, Suse, Ubuntu) in einer Virtuellen Maschiene auf dem (Windows?-)PC zu installieren.
(VirtualBox klappt ganz gut und kostet nix).

Damit kannst du dann den USB-Stick zur VM durchschleifen und dann vom virtuellen Linux aus partitionieren und formatieren.

P.S.: alternative dazu kannst Du Linux natürlich auch "native" (parallel zu i.e. Windows) installieren :-)

Ich erstelle mir gerade mit Linux Live USB Creator ein Linux USB Stick mit KUBUNTU 12.10 Quantal Quetzal KDE, ich hofe das kann man für den zweck gebrauchen.

Hi Michael

Es gibt noch eine einfachere Möglichkeit

In /etc/opkg.conf ist eine Zeile auskommentiert wenn du die wieder einsetzt und ein opkg update machst
kannst du viel mehr Programme installieren ohne sie extra übersetzen zu müssen

src/gz snapshots http://pkg.8devices.com/v2.3/carambola/packages
#src/gz barrier_breaker http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/ ... s/packages <--------hier
dest root /
dest ram /tmp
lists_dir ext /var/opkg-lists
option overlay_root /overlay

Das kannst du alles mit dem WebInterface erledigen (luci)

So jetzt Funktioniert alles soweit mit dem USB Stick dank eurer Hilfe, eine Frage habe ich noch, ich habe den FTP Server vsftpd installiert, leider startet er nicht beim booten, wo kann ich einstellen das er Automatisch startet.

Z.B. in der /etc/rc.local
( genau genommen ist die exakt dafür da)

Wenn Du etwas sicherer im Umgang mit dem System geworden bist, kannst Du den ftp auch "richtig", also als Dienst starten. Für den Augenblick sollte die rc.local aber genügen.

Zwei Dinge noch:

Zum einen gibt es eine Anleitung zur Erstellung einer VM hier auf der Seite, speziell für den Fall wie den Deinen.

Zum anderen kannst Du zwar so ziemlich jedes Paket auch installieren, es belegt dann aber auch deutlich mehr Speicher, als wenn Du es direkt mit in eine Firmware kompilieren würdest.

Es hängt natürlich alles von Deinem individuellen Anwendungsfall ab.
