Hi there,
i have a problem with an external device connected to carambola-2 UART. Sometimes the UART communication stops working for no reason. Anyway, there is a solution for that. When i pull the UART TX Pin to LOW for a second the communication starts again. Of course that is a workaround but at the moment i am running out of options.
So what i want to do: Pull the UART TX Pin to LOW from time to time. Is it possible? How would i do this in the OpenWRT environment? Is it necessary to deactivate UART, use as GPIO and activate it again?
Any help would be great. Thanks!

Have you tried sending a UART BRK? (break condition)
