I´ve been looking for an solution and find out, cara1 is using dwc_otg Driver in webcam-mode!!!
An package is available for cara1 v2.3 "kmod-usb-rt305x-dwc_otg_3.3.8-1_ramips.ipk"
but miss for v2.4

At github i found an patch


But didn´t find a way to install and get it work.
Have somebody an idea?

At openwrt wiki there is a describtion "working with patches"

I dont work with openwrt before and hope somebody let me know whether i am on the right way or not.

Unable to enumerate usually means a hardware issue. You didn't tell us if you're using the dev board or a custom board.

I am using official dev board of both versions(cara, cara2)

On first version appears the report "unable to enumerate ..." , but webcam works fine. And its using "dwc_otg"
So i think "unable to enumerate..." could be ignore.

Trying to get the webcam work on cara2 failed. Here its using "ehci" and goes into an infinity loop after turn cam into webcam-mode. In storage-mode it works.

It seems to be a driver-problem.
For v2.3 there exists an package "dwc_otg", but not for v2.4

At github, i found an patch of dwc_otg for cara2
But dont know how it could help me.

Logitech webcam works perfect with Carambola2:

I ordered on Logitech C920 to test streaming with gestreamer in h.264-codec
and still wait for it...

But the new cam isnt an alternative to my mini-webcam(6 gramm weight). And i would be glad to use it on cara2 too.
Sorry that i keep this thread still alive, but hope that somebody could explain me, what this patch stand for


The patch is also in my carambola2-path, but i dont find it in OpenWrt Configuration/Kernel modules/USB Support(make menuconfig). I think it have to be selectable with this patch!!!

Or did i understand something wrong?
