Thanks four your pictures tty. Desoldering seems to be the only solution for me, too.
Can you provide some details about what I need (software/hardware) to reprogram the flash chip?
At the Moment, I only have ftdi serial <-> usb adapters available, unfortunately no jtag programmer.

Can someone confirm if it is possible to access serial flash using SPI lines (pin 16, 17, 18, 19 of module) ?
It seems that AR9331 is still driving the SPI lines even when holding Hardware reset (pin33) to GND?
Or is there another way to write SPI flash witout desoldering ? Using bootstrap pin configuratuion ?
