Hi!
I'm completely new to Carambola2 boards and have successfully connected to the device by LAN.
The sensor(s) i wan't to solder on Carambola2 are using an I2C interface, see
https://learn.adafruit.com/tsl2561/overviewThus, i downloaded the most up-to-date openwrt-sources for carambola2 from
https://github.com/8devices/carambola2 and checked their extensive documentation in /doc
Furthermore, i found this thread on Carambola2 + I2C
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=416They report, that a kernel rebuild with I2C support is needed - there is such a section in Kernel Modules -> I2C support in the menuconfig but i'm not quite sure which modules need to be included - they discuss that in that thread but it is not clear to me which solution is the most up-to-date and which one is definately working - can anyone help me?
After compiling the sources, there must be a /bin directory with .bin files for ar93xx, right? Many precompiled packages are labeled ar71xx - do they work as well on ar93xx? I can't find any information if there's a difference between that chips.
Sysupgrading my custom openwrt image should work by (correct me if i'm wrong)
my_box # scp
root@192.168.1.1:/../.bin /tmp
carambola2 # sysupgrade -v -c /tmp/openwrt-ar71xx-generic-carambola2-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
Do I assume rightly that there are only 2 PINs for I2C interfaces on Carambola2 which means i can only put ONE sensor on that board?
Or there are other (practical) solutions to have some more?
Thanks in advance!
