Post subject: | Wireless coonects to other carambola2 boards only |
Hi all, I'm using a carambola2 board with two radios (onboard ath9k and rt5572 usb). Software is OpenWrt from trunk with a couple of modications (to make l2tpv3 and qt work). Kernel version is 3.10.18. The problem is that the onboard wireless does not connect to any WiFi device except other carambola2 boards running the same software. When I revert to Kernel 3.7.9, everything works fine, but unfortunately then the rt5572 does not work. The problem occurs in ap and sta mode, adhoc mode not tested. Does anybody have some experience with linux kernel 3.10. or late running on carambola2? Any help will be appreciated. |

Seems like 3.10 kernel wifi driver doesn't support crystal calibration values from eeprom. https://github.com/8devices/carambola2/ ... 602f6e6e79 |

Latest openwrt trunk use kernel version 3.10.36. There is no such issue. |

Hi gedass and ImpulseB, thanks for the Hints. I hope I can test the different ideas and will post test results. |

Hi all, just tested with kernel 3.10.49: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 connects fine iPad1 connects fine iPad2 not tested. Seems that the issue was solved with kernel 3.10.49. Unfortunately, I2C support ist now solved in a different way, so it takes some effort to get 3.10.49 running on my devices. |
