Running the Carambola 2 without the development board

Hey,
I just ordered a Carambola 2 and I'm looking over what info I can find on how to get the thing up and running and log into it. I'm not using the development board; I'm just going to solder wires to it and use my breadboard. It looks like I should just be able to send it 3.3V to pins 50/51, and ground it, and it should boot up. Is this correct? I see pin 52 says 2V; Does that mean is requires a 2V input or produces a 2V output? Pins 43/44 are serial ports I see. Is the console running on those ports? Can I log into it through there? Is there a default root password?
This info might be posted somewhere already. I don't know. I did look, but couldn't find it.
Thanks, Chris

Thank you very much!
So, at what baud rate do I communicate with the device over the UART ports?
Thanks again, Chris
