Hey guys, i am running an application successful on carambola and thinkin about porting it to carambola 2. Is there maybe an overview about the differences between openWRT for carambola and carambola 2? Something with which you should be careful? Are there important differences in building package for those to platforms if you want to integrate applications into carambola-2-image? I would be very thankful for help and advices. Cheers Farley |

This depends on an application. If it's a userspace program, then no or almost no changes are needed. |

Thx for your reply. In fact its kind of webservice. On the carambola board avahi (as bonjour implementation) and lighttpd (as webserver) are running. The lighttpd sends websocket requests to my application which handles the connection to the client. Changes to the system (for example wifi config) are made with uci. It would be interesting if the image building for carambola 2 is similar to carambola? Of course including configs fpr avahi and lighttpd. Would there be a problem with uci? |
