Hello, this is my first project with Carambola 2. It is a counter that should show some statistics like web visitors count and so.

There is 1400 mA Li-po battery (I should have included some test point to meassure power consumption of the device) with charger, AVR microcontroller to drive the LED display (hidden under the battery, connected via UART; I would have used some specialized chip for this purpose but available ones were for common cathode displays) and very nice flexi antenna. I used linear regulator for power, hope that it wasn't big fail.






I soldered it yesterday, now I have to design some nice enclosure and do something with the display (multiplexed segments differ in brightness, I have to code different driving cycle).

And this is how it looks with laser cut enclosure (I didn't have much time for nicer photo, the display doesn't look good on it):

How to use UART in carambola2 to connect with AVR?

Software uart? or u-boot modification?
