Hello, I'm currently working on a uni project based around the CAN Bus and I'm having difficulty getting any results. I'm working on a BMW 320d (F32) 2013 and I'm using the USB2CAN and Linux to interface with the bus. Here is how I've setup the rig: Laptop -- USB2CAN -- DB9 to OBDII cable -- OBDII port. Using Linux I run the following commands: sudo ip link set can0 type can bitrate 500000 sudo ip link set up can0 On the actual USB2CAN device the LED light turns constant green I then run cansniffer on can0 however I don't see any data. Here is what I've tried: -Different bitrates (125000, 600000, 700000) -running candump -l any,0:0,#FFFFFFFF Any help would be appreciated, Thanks. |

USB2CAN doesn't support any protocol.It is only USB <=> CAN bus frames converter with CANAL type interface for VSCP home automation. |
