Post subject:  Cross Compiling (bloody beginner)

Hi all,
I'm a bloody beginner with Carambola, Cross Compiling and even hardcore Linux.
(I'm usually developing Java programs under Windows for Ubuntu... )
So, now the new task is "write a small webservice for Carambola"
Reading the posts, it seems that PHP, Java or Phyton not an option.
So I wan't to use Eclipse on my Windows PC to write some CGIs.
Can You give me any advice how?
EG how to cross compile a program...

There's also lua, a more light weight scripting language.
I haven't tried PHP, but Python works nicely on the Carambola. You install the python-mini Version and add in just the libraries you need for your project.

I take a look on lua.
So I don't have to go the other way: writing/crosscompile some C/C++ progs...
