Hi, I just wanted to see what people thought... I make a JavaScript interpreter for Microcontrollers (http://www.espruino.com)

It's designed to work like node.js, but using a lot less resources! I just got it to run on Carambola/OpenWRT:

Is this something people would be interested in? Would you use it?

Currently there's only GPIO support (not I2C/SPI/Serial), but more could be added. It'd be dead easy to implement a web UI so that it could be programmed via the web browser too!

Hi, I just wanted to add that we've actually got a KickStarter for boards with Espruino on now:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/486 ... for-things

If it's successful then we'll be releasing all the source code, which means that hopefully we'll be able to get packages included in OpenWRT, Raspbian, and other distributions.

Please support us - the board you'll get is a low power STM32 ARM-based board with analog input and output and a bunch of other peripherals. It can actually be connected to the Carambola either via USB or USART, so you could use it as a source of extra IO. There's an example of doing that with the Raspberry Pi here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 45&t=19301

thanks!

Thanks!

When I get some free time I'll work on a package submitted to OpenWRT as well :)
