Hi Guys,
I have a Problem to get USB devices running, i tried 2 USB sticks and one Webcam but without success. I only got the Carambola without Dev Board so i soldered a connector directly to the Board with a 10K resistor between pin 40 and GND. The firmware is custom build with USB support as described in the wiki. What could be the problem?
dmesg says:
[ 177.380000] usb 1-1: new low-speed USB device number 10 using dwc_otg [ 177.560000] usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 177.850000] usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 178.140000] usb 1-1: new low-speed USB device number 11 using dwc_otg [ 178.320000] usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 178.610000] usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 178.900000] usb 1-1: new low-speed USB device number 12 using dwc_otg [ 179.320000] usb 1-1: device not accepting address 12, error -71 [ 179.500000] usb 1-1: new low-speed USB device number 13 using dwc_otg [ 179.920000] usb 1-1: device not accepting address 13, error -71 [ 179.920000] hub 1-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 1

I'm sorry to ask but did you use the newest (fixed) firmware? Maybe you overlooked it. (See here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=161&start=30#p1425) Setting the tx power to other values takes no effect in older versions due to driver problems.

Strange thing... Both fixes worked for me even standalone - if they're not even working in combination on your hardware maybe your board or module is damaged... See this post: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=104&start=30#p1470

Where is located U5 on the mother board ? You mean U5 from the Carambola Module ? (not from the dev kit)

U5 is on the dev-board, it's located right inbetween the USB connector and the female pin header (TSOP6 package).
