Hello! My name is Giovanni and im a computer science engineer from italy. I have some questions about carambola: 1) The device will go ahead with the development? 2) The shipping date is confirmed? (first week of febrary) 3) There are some new releases of board planned with more flash and RAM?. I would like to integrate with home automation carambola. Thanks i advice. |

3) There are some new releases of board planned with more flash and RAM?. on road "Carambola Pro2 MIMO" based on RT3352 400MHz SoC, 64MB DDR2 RAM,16MB (maybe 32MB) serial flash, 2TX and 2RX. Should be available in DIP and QFN packages. I would like to integrate with home automation carambola. Verry soon should be available VSCP home automation daemon port for Carambola too. more info www.vscp.org |

Thanks for response, Very interesting news!!! There is a roadmap for this new release? I've see the carambola in action from my friend, and we want to buy 10 dev + 10 carambola board. I hope become avaiable soon |

are you considering using mirosd slot instead of more flash? I mean, in a microsd I can have not limit in space. Thansk in advance. Paco |

Sorry, I don't agree. A microSD is more tiny than a flash memory. Look at http://www.lpcware.com/content/image/nb31xx-modulepng see the space ocupped by ram and ocuped by microsd just the same. I mean where now is the flash can be a microsd. Thanks Paco www.tranquinet.com |

Then a minimun flash and a microsd. I am thinking if carambola can boot froma serial/spi flash there is serial/spi microsd too Paco http://www.tranquinet.com |
