I'm thinking something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8AA-BATTERY-H ... 0306897362 but with a 2.5mm connector or an adapter. Thinking about making a cellular device.

Is there any other way to power the device other than the dc port? Also what voltage would it require with a 3G modem connected via USB?
