Hi,
I bought the carambola 2 to replace my current TPlink OpenWRT router. I was expecting a simple swap but it turns out that packages are downloaded from a dedicated repository where many packages are missing. I'm unable to set up any kind of VPN for example, since pptpd is missing, openvpn is missing and ipsec-tools is missing. Also a more friendly editor such as nano would be handy.
I see you provide a compilation environment, but this is for the linux kernel only, right? And it is an awful lot of work just to configure a wifi router.
Or can this be used to compile all available openwrt packages? But then why do you not just provide a repository with all packages so we can use that?
Is there any chance I will be able to use openwrt.org's own repositories in the future?
The hardware is great though. I've 3d printed a case with external antenna, will put this on thingiverse soon.
Thanks for any help Joost
