Hi All! Specs of Carambola 2 states that supply voltage is 3.3V. Are there anything on the 3.3V line that not tolerates up to 3.6V? Based on their documentations, the flash is 2.7-3.6V tolerant, VDD33 line of AR9331 is 2.97-3.63V tolerant, DDR2 chip runs from 1.8V so it doesnt matter... Im planning to connect a SIM5320E USB 3G modem to this board (via USB 2.0 Hi-Speed hub due to hw bug, and i need more ports too), but this modem runs from 3.4-4.2V, so the common supply voltage would be ideal somewhere between 3.5 and 3.6V - if the Carambola 2 module tolerates it... Best regards, Peter |

Hi, you can connect power supply to Carambola via 1 or 2 1A diodes. |

Then use additional 3.3V DC/DC only for Carambola module if you want to have professional solution. |
