GPIO11 and RST can be left unconnected
I connected only TX, RX, Grounds, 3v3 and pull-ups on RST (Pin33) and GPIO11 based on the schematics of dev-board. The module starts up, seems to not react to serial input, the serial console is the following:

1. First I tried unconnected GPIO11 and RST without pull-ups. The result had been the same that's why I connected the pull-ups by the dev-borad schematics.
2. I tried a 2nd C2 with Gnd, 3V3, TX, RX no pull-ups and the result is the same.
Any idea?

If you use 3.3V or 5V serial port adapter TX pin must be connected via 2x resistor divider because Carambola2 serial port voltage is 2.5V

Thanks for the advice. I used a Sparkfun FTDI USB/serial converter as power source, also. I will try with independent 3V3 power.
The 2.6V serial is interesting. I haven't seen it in the documentation. Anyway, I will try.
Thank you.

You were right, it was a power problem, it starts now perfectly. By the way, what is the minimal amperage that is needed?

Hello,
I seem to having a similar issue. Carambola2 boots up but fails at the DRAM: 64MB, Flash : 16MB, Net: ... stage.
Would this again be a power supply issue or could it also have something to do with the state of the bootstrap pins?
Thanks in advance!
