Connect USB port to Carambola 2

Hi,
I would like to connect an USB port to a plain Carambola 2 board (USB+, USB-, GND). The board is booting up fine (as I can see on the console), but no connected USB device is detected by the board.
On Carambola 1 I needed to connect UPHY to GND to set USB to host mode, is there an equivalent step required for Carambola 2?

Hi,
for USB client mode: GPIO13 (Led2) to GND.
Currently default USB mode is HOST.

Thanks! Should U-Boot or OpenWrt kernel show different messages when chaging USB mode?
I have tried pulling GPIO13 to ground and to +3V and I see same kernel messages.
