Hi,
I recently ordered and received 3 more Carambola2 (this being out third purchase, previously bought 2 then 10)
Tonight I powered one up and it seems to be DOA.
The FTDI USB serial is detected correctly by Linux but I had no output on ENTER or reset.
In particular, I noticed that when pressing reset the green LED was not flashing on and off like normal.
After some fiddling I started checking voltages etc. I had the negative multimeter lead on the shield, and noticed than sometimes (for a few times at least) I was able to get output on the serial port if I was pushing down on the shield. Further checking I discovered that the resistor on the reset line appears to be 2k7 not 4k7 as per the schematic. I also discovered that the voltage on GPIO 11 connected to the factory reset was @ 2.2V ?
I am going to solder in pins and a serial adaptor to the UART pins on J12 so I can see if this is an issue with the FTDI or not, but at this stage I think I have received a dud?
I wont be able to check the others in the batch until next week they are at the office.
thanks

Just to be a bit more clear:
my Carambola2 seems to be not working, i.e. dead on arrival (DOA)
This is the first of 13 that has not worked when I plugged it in and I wondered if either something changed in the board in the past six months, or whether anyone else has had any recent failures and how they went with the warranty process.
Update - whilst looking for solder bridges (which was reported by another user as being the cause of a different problem), I attempted to remove the shield, and instead of it lifting up from the frame it took the frame off of the board. So to me it appears that something has gone a bit wrong with the soldering process.
Hoping for a response from someone from 8devices please; we are looking to place more orders of > 10 devices but we need to be certain we wont run into issues...

Shipping (unregistered) from Australia is $21.45 for airmail. That is almost the price of an entire module... Seamail is $12.00 and could take three months...
