Hi,

I'd like to develop a small board with some features I often need (I2C, I2C to 1-Wire Bridge, 2- or 4-port USB-Hub, PoE). To do this I'd like to mount the Carambola 2 module temporary on the first samples which will have some defects for sure.

I'm quite sure it is almost impossible to unsolder the module from any board without damaging the module. A nice solution would be to use spring contacts as shown here:
http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/a ... 7.html?s=p

Do you have any other recommendations or do you have article-numbers for such spring contacts?

kind regards

Hi joky,

We use a custom made Carambola2 flashing station (picture included) with spring pins, though they are very different from the ones you have shown.

One simple and cheap solution would be to make a breakout board with 2.54mm (or similar) pitch pins.

Hi,

yes, I think that (pin-headers) would be the easiest solution.

Thank you
