LCD display status for 8devices carambola2

Hi everyone.
I want carambola2 to display some status on a LCD/OLED, so I seems cannot just connect it to the console because that's all logs. Should I connect it through those serial connector and use some software to make it work? I'm not so familiar with Linux. How can I get this done?

What kind of interface does your LCD display have? From your previous post I am assuming it's UART. If so, then the easiest way is to use USB to serial adaptor.
