Hello! Just got my Carambola and I'd like to ask how the firmware can be flashed to SPI flash IC without JTAG (with SPI Flash programmer)? Is it possible without desoldering the flash IC? Is there any recovery mode in case of breaking the stock firmware?
Thanks!

Carambola don't have SPI flash on board. But you can use external SPI flash memory and boot from it.

So the flash is located on the SoC and if it is overwritten than the board is dead? Is the JTAG the only way to recover completely dead board?
