Hello again,
i want to switch on wifi AP mode on my carambola2. On carambola there was a config file /etc/config/wireless where you could switch on the wifi. But on carambola2 this file does not exist. Is that correct? Even firstboot and reboot didn't help. Is there really a difference in wifi config between openWRT for carambola and openWRT for carambola2?
Thx in advance!

Hi,
the carambola2 board was factory new. Bundle with dev-board. FPeter, your are right. dmesg helped. The problem seemed to be a wrong MAC address in EEPROM.
It seems to be a production fault. The same problem is reported here: Scroll down below the hexdump. mantas-p is offering a solution.
BUT BE CAREFUL: THE SOLUTION WILL ONLY WORK IF YOUR cat /proc/mtd OUTPUT LOOKS LIKE REPORTED IN THIS ISSUE. IF NOT, A WRONG PART OF THE FLASH COULD BE OVERWRITTEN AND BRICK YOUR DEVICE. Cheers Farley
