Maca 2 is an ultra-high-power data radio built using a Qualcomm SoC. Its pre-loaded Robosoft firmware and optimized hardware deliver connectivity ranges of up to 80km. Maca 2 comes pre-loaded with Robosoft, our embedded Linux software platform. Narrow channels, precision frequency control, and broad frequency coverage firmware support means that Maca 2 comes ready to configure and use right out of the box. Ack-less unidirectional broadcast support improves Maca 2’s link strength and stability in dynamic and congested or jammed RF environments. Users can configure integrated forward error correction, automatic rate control, and optional forced retransmission to optimize Maca 2 for their target use case or mission.
By supporting ultra-narrow channels from 1.5 MHz to 19.5 MHz, Maca 2 maximizes spectral efficiency and significantly extends communication range.This flexibility drives Maca 2’s smart spectrum awareness, ensuring stable connectivity and optimal performance in congested environments.
Maca 2 unlocks an additional 616 MHz of spectrum beyond the crowded 2.4 GHz ISM band. Unlike frequency-locked radios, Maca 2 lets users operate on any channel across the 2152–2852 MHz range. This expanded range improves Maca 2’s flexibility in congested environments and enhances frequency hopping interference mitigation performance.
